“Ms. Bang Bang” is back!
For some reason, instead of writing today I decided to putter around with Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Adopt Illustrator. In the end, that turned into spending a few hours making a new website layout. Actually, parts of this layout I’ve had for months. I always thought I’d give myself a “professional” new layout using these colors when I published my first book and the webpage became more of a marketing tool. However, I thought to myself, Well, when is that going to happen? Might as well use the layout now; I can always revive it or tweak it later.
Anyway, I just finished enough to get the blog back up. I haven’t transferred anything else to the new layout and honestly it may be a couple of weeks before I do that. Oh well, least the front page is finished and pretty.
I went back to my favorite inspiration: hot chicks with guns. I dubbed this incarnation “Ms. Bang Bang 2010.” If you remember my old layout that had the corny noir movie poster look to it. This one has a much “sleeker”, “modern” look, hence why it’s Ms. Bang Bang 2010.
Oh well, I think I’ll go write for a little bit then go to bed. See ya when I see ya.

It ended before it really began — this year
OK, I am so procrastinating right now, but I’ve got a belly full of orange chicken and fried rice. I’m just waiting for food to digest. Yeah.
Anyway, so I’m out of Nano. I had no time to write the story I wanted to; basically I was adding my papers and short stories (for my masters application) as “dreams” and then I realized that my Nanowrimo contained more “dreams” than actual story. So I just faced the grim reality of life: I don’t have time for Nanowrimo this year.
I’m also going through writing withdrawal. My fingers are itching to type out characters and conflicts and dialogue. Oh man, I miss Morgan. I was just shy of 100,000 words before the hell that is student teaching began. I miss you Morgan! (I spent about an hour yesterday and wrote 2,000 words on Morgan. I just had to otherwise I was sure I couldn’t survive the night)
You know what’s the interesting thing though? I spent some time writing “Morgan” yesterday and today I’m in a better mood than I have been for a long time. I’ve always said writing keeps me sane.
