Here’s a snippet from a story I’m writing, working title “Mattie.” This is something that happens much later on but I wanted to write it now anyway. All you really need to know for this snippet is that Dorian is of the vampire persuasion.

I spent the day being annoyed at Tayce and I don’t even know why. I suppose it’s like a person you’ve been around too long and suddenly you think, “Wow, I just don’t want to be around you right now.” So I spent my writing time today working on some other projects I’ve been keeping on the back-burner. Namely “Alice,” my effort at YA, and “Mattie,” which is set in the same world as Tayce. Since I was having so much fun with the vampire character from Tayce, I came up with a story idea where he is the main male character. And he’s still fun to write. I don’t care how many people tell me, “Oh, vampires, that is, like, so overdone,” there’s just something sexy about them.
