April 1, 2007:
An April Fool’s baby
So, for a little while longer, today is my birthday. I’m an April Fool’s baby, born two weeks late, during a nasty snowstorm in Chicago, on a full moon day.
It was a great birthday, unlike the day that preceeded it. John and I went to Golf n’ Stuff with Matt and Hollie, another couple. We played miniature golf (I got a hole in one
But I lost overall
), then we rode the go-karts, and then the water boats. The water boats were the most fun because you could shoot water at each other. Everyone ganged up on Matt and he was pretty soaked by the end of it.
I had made the mistake of wearing a white shirt, however I had a sports bra underneath, so it worked out. John and I then played some arcade games and we then all went home. Later, John and I went to Olive Garden. We were going to get ice cream (I had a coupon), but by then we were so stuffed, we just went home and watched Elfen Lied until it was bedtime. I came on for a quick post, of course.
The problem with Sunday and weekday birthdays (sans Friday) is that you have to get up early in the morning. But, as I’ve jokingly told John, “This is only the beginning…of the month long celebration of the birth of Himani!”
